Never again will I buy goods from a supplier who uses Citylink for the delivery. Total lack of flexibility or common sense from their operatives. Very dissapointing to say that once again, a British company showing why U.S. companies (like UPS and FedEx) are leading the way.

Ordered goods from a reliable supplier. Had stuff using Post Office, FedEx and smaller couriers before with no problems. I told Citylink that I’d not be home and gave an alternative address (a justice system department where I work! - So clearly up front). FedEx and the post office have done this several times for me.

Citylink refused point blank and said they’ll keep trying for 4 days (while Im at work!), after which time they’ll return the goods to sender (the place I work is on the same van round as my home address - so not exactly difficult to do for the driver). The “alternative” offered to me by them was for me to drive almost 30 miles to an industrial estate in the dark, in a place I’ve never been, and try and find their depot where I could collect the goods. Err - maybe I got mixed up here, but aren’t THEY supposed to deliver to ME and not the other way round? Having a 7 year old daughter in tow, this clearly is not even a possible option.

Very dissapointing to say that once again, a British company showing why U.S companies (like UPS and FedEx) are leading the way. Having said that, I should say that the Post Office parcel service has overcome this sort of problem for me on many occasions with a smile and with no difficulty at all.

Yeah, I hate Citylink. Such businesses should start for long.
