The only reason why she’s always on the top in music charts is because of her physical image and not so much on her music. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and this is mine. I personally don’t think she is fat and ugly, I have nothing against fat, over weight or ugly people, just young girls who display themselves like this.

I’m sure that there is at least a few people who agree to this, even if they love her. I would do the same to any person like Britney.

I am also against the message she is sending out to young girls, maybe not so directly, but it has a great influence on them. Young girls can easily be influenced, not only by peers, but by “idols”, they’ll do anything to be like the star they love. Even if that means starving themselves which could lead to anorexia or bulimia. The negative message that I see Britney sending to today’s teens is that the only way to be successful in life or your career is to dress up like a slut to impress men. She is not a positive image but a degrading one. We are all equal - men and women, so why should we have to go about life pleasing them. Britney is like the movie Evita, that to get to the top, you have to be used by males. I know that it is her own life and I should let her do what she wants. I have received many hatemails regarding this. But I do this because she affects the people around her. Everyone sets an example for younger kids to follow, this includes me, you and Britney. Whether we like it or not, we are all rolemodels, so I believe we should set a good example for younger kids, not a bad one as I see Britney doing. I recieve a lot of hatemails from males who claim that Britney is ‘beautiful’ and ’sexy’ and ‘everyone wants to f**k her’. What happened to talent? Through some research, it has been found that the majority of Britney fans do not like her because of her ‘talent’, but because of her image.

Did you know that the director of her video clip: “Don’t let me be the last to know” was the director of over 30 porn videos?

Just because I am against Britney does not mean I am jealous, fat and ugly. I am not jealous of Britney, I never have and I never will be. I am sick of recieving hatemails from those who claim that I am jealous. I know what jealousy is and that is what I am not. Sure, she’s got a great ‘career’ and has loads of money. So does the Queen of England and I am definitely not jealous of the Queen. Not all Britney haters are fat and ugly, you cannot accuse a Britney hater of being fat, simply because he/she has opposing views to you. It’s like walking down the street in the city and saying to an overweight person “I know why you’re fat, it’s because you hate Britney Spears.” He/she could be Britney’s biggest fan. Don’t accuse a Britney hater of being fat, ugly or jealous unless you’ve seen them.

I am also against the fact that Britney did not have to work very hard to get up there. There are so many artists who work so hard and still get so much criticism just because they are not like the other wholesome artists. Did Britney work hard to get a record deal? I don’t think so, all she needed was a stereotypical image and the industry knew that they could make profits out of her. Sure she was in the Mickey Mouse Club, whatever that is, but did she work in a way of doing gigs at clubs, pubs, schools or even in the shopping centres before she was exploited? I know a few artists who are already working very hard at getting gigs actually doing something.

In conclusion, I strongly dislike Britney because of the negative image which she is imapacting on today’s young girls and I disagree with her message. I am not at all jealous of Britney. She could have everything in the world and I will not be jealous of her.
