You may or may not know that if you submit your writing to an open forum board and received feedback on your writing, publications such as magazines, newspapers, etc will now consider your writing to be already published. When writing communities require you to subscribe in order to submit or read the work already on site, they are protecting their members.

Now I viewed tickledbythunder.com and I was able to read an example of submissions that they have already published. From what I saw, the subscriptions help pay for the ongoing fee’s to running the magazine. From what I see there is nothing questionable about the magazine but that’s just my opinion. You are free to yours.

I’m curious to what makes you an expert in the writing buisness. You mentioned that you hate those who pay to have their work published. So I guess, you hate the many self-published authors who are making an income from self-publishing their work?
