You have to be joking. You can’t be serious?

It doesn’t take much intelligence to become a doctor?

It usually takes at least 11 years to become a doctor: 4 years of college, 4 years of medical school, and 3 years working in a hospital.

Many doctors work 60 or more hours a week. If they have developed an attitude, it is due to cutbacks in health care that have left them overloaded with patients.

One of the most famous physicians in the world was Sir William Osler. Emily Howard Jennings Stowe was the first Canadian woman to practice medicine in Canada. Attitudes towards women and medicine changed because of her. Surgeon Norman Bethune remains today a hero. He is remembered as both a great doctor and humanitarian for his medical service. Frederick Banting and Charles Best discovered insulin in 1921-22. Ask the diabetic if they want a CEO of a successful corporation or if they the insulin that will save their life. I bet you any money; I know what they'll choose.

Did you know, It was three Canadian doctors - Frederick Tisdall (1893-1949), Theodore Drake (1891-1959), and Alan Brown (1887-1960) - who developed Pablum at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.

Dr. Maude Abbott became a leading pathologist and expert on congenital heart defects.

Surgeon Wilfred Bigelow made two medical discoveries: the use of hypothermia and the development of the pacemaker.

There are many unsung heroes who are doctors. I ask you would you rather a leader like Bush or a Physician that will save your life?
