I hate AOL!
Brands November 25th, 2005I do hate AOL, these guys are what I call “the dirty dealers”. Since you sign a contract, they do not care. Money, money, money - that’s what interests them after that!
When I’ve been to Holland, I’ve met one American businessman, who had come to Holland to set up the outsource programming company. One day we were sitting in a restaurant and somehow turned to ISPs in our chat. And he told me some crazy things about AOL. He said that he had signed a year contract with AOL and when he was to go to the Netherlands, he want to, so to say, pause this contract as he didn’t need the America Online Internet for the forthcoming 5 months or so.
Wanna know what?
They told him “That’s your problem and we don’t care!” and continued charging money from his credit card even when he didn’t use the AOL Internet even for a second in a month.
Personally I do hate such big businesses as they do not really care about every single customer. Their main goal is to EARN. Earn as much as they can in a short amount of time, completely neglecting the possible negative consequences.
Wanna use AOL? Well, that’s your choice. Hope after they are bought by either Google or Microsoft, the things will change for the better. (Well, if they go to Microsoft, they can become worse instead).
